Bledisloe Cup Weekend
Published July 17th, 2007 in , .Well we are set for yet another big rugby game this weekend. This weekend New Zealand and Australia will be playing for the Tri Nations and Bledisloe cup. It will also be seen as a possible re match of the Rugby World Cup as there are 2 great trophies on the line this weekend. The pressure is on and both teams will be facing great opposition. As many people know you cant practice pressure and this weekend the players for both the All Blacks and the Wallabies will have a fair share on pressure on the field.
The match will be held at Eden Park. The Wallabies have surprized many and come from being no hoper’s in this tournament to possibly walking away with the Mandela Sheild, Bledisloe Cup and winning the Tri Nations all together. The Australian team seems to be putting everything together and “gelling” as a World Cup Champion team at the right time. Wallabies Captain Stirling Mortlock has attributed this recent string of success to the Wallabies sticking to their combinations of players. Australia will be hoping to take their first win on New Zealand soil since 2001.
The All Blacks have come under alot of presure from the media in New Zealand the last few days due to poor performances. Last weekend we saw the Springboks take on the All Blacks and while they dominated the game there were many unforced errors. Luke McAlister has been selected in the starting 15 ahead of team mate Aaron Mauger.
Luke is playing better than Aaron at the moment
All Blacks Coach Henry said on the selection.

All in all we are set for a cracker of a game!

Australia beat a sub-par Springboks team, and managed a win at home in Melbourne against a tired jetlagged AB team, and now many people are calling for them to win the World Cup! I think we all need to step back a little and examine what is really happening. The AB have been accused of peaking to early in past World Cup years and with the reconditioning period this year have just not reached full form. I think you will see a determined group this weekend and more of the type of All Blacks rugby we are all used to seeing. Look at how Dan Carter got better with every kick last week and all the boys certainly showed their fitness at the end of the game with some fine scoring. The All Blacks will win the Tri Nations and the Bledisloe this weekend and then it’s back on the bandwagon to all the pundits!

GO THE ALL BLACKS! you guys played a great game on Saturday nights against the whinging
aussies. I think you guys have a real good chance of winning the world cup!
I live in Australia, but i’m a KIWI at Heart, mind & soul! And whenever the aussies win against NZ its all over the news, the papers and they talk about it for a year maybe even 2! But when they lose,
its never to be talked about! Hahahaha!! They know how to win, but they are sore losers!
