Durban was the setting for a classic Springbok vs All Blacks test match.

The Springboks managed a 21-12 lead and it all seemed as though the South Africans were going to beat the worlds number one team. The absence of John Smith was obvious in the scrums as the All Blacks totally dominated.
Pedrie Wannenburg was given a yellow card in the second half which the All Blacks took full advantage of and started to turn the game their way.

The South African young guns seemed to panic right at the end while New Zealand kept their heads. Two converted tries in the second half saw the All blacks take the lead with 21-26. Fitness also seemed to be a major factor. The All blacks seemed to turn the pace of the game up while the Springboks seemed to be caught flat footed. Well Done All Blacks. Great test match and well worth watching.
