Pierre Spies out of Rugby World Cup Due To Illness
Published August 4th, 2007 in , , .The young South African loose forward Pierre Spies has had to put his World Cup dream behind him after he was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism. For us with out a clue what that really is, it means blood clots on the lungs. Team doctors are saying that Spies will be out of the sport for 6 to eight months.
However Pierre Spies has said he will not go down with out fight. He has recently undergone many blood tests in an effort to find out what is the exact cause of his condition. “I am very positive, I know this is only temporarily and I know what God has planned for me” said Spies.
