The Super 14 is starting to take its toll on players. Springbok coach Peter De Villiers has stated that they are to be expected. However one can imagine a Injury crisis is well on its way.
The injuries list for the Boks reads as follows:
• Frans Steyn (Knee)
• Conrad Jantjes (Broken leg)
• Jean de Villiers (Groin)
• Schalk Burge (Calf)
• Fourie du Preez (Calf)
• Hennie Bekker (Ribs)
Steyn was tipped to be the replacement fullback for Jantjes, however now it is doubtful if we will be able to play in the test series. My replacement would be Bulls Zane Kirchner. He has had a great season so far and defiantly deserves it. Jean de Villers has been rumored to be making a quick recovery and may even test himself next weekend, Jaque Fourie would be my choice for replacement if Jean is unable to make the test games. Rory Kockott would be my first choice Bok scrum half if du Preez doesn’t make a speedy recovery. If you would like to give your starting Bok team do so in the comments below.
