Melbourne was to be the setting for the biggest upset in the Tri Nations so far. Australia who was pretty much considered no hopers for this years Tri Nations stood up to the plate and defeated the All Blacks on home ground making the whole Tri Nations wide open. All teams have the same amount of points at this stage.

As we have seen in all this years Tri Nations games the winners came from behind. The All Blacks had put them in a very good position of 6-15 at half time. Referee Marius Jonker (South Africa) sin binned Carl Hayman for repeated infringing. The Wallabies took full advantage of this and scored 2 tries in Mr Hayman
